Constructed with Artstone material, a recycled blend of natural stone and high-grade resin, this round planter has beautiful natural marbling and a one-of-a-kind look. It’s lightweight, so you can easily move it around – plus, it’s frost and UV-resistant, so it’ll withstand the elements throughout each season. Each Cali Round Planter contains a self-watering feature that consists of an aeration screen, a built-in overflow drainage tube, and a removable rubber stopper. The aeration screen sits 1-2 inches up from the bottom of the planter creating a space underneath to store excess water. When you water your plants, water flows through the soil and roots and down into the reservoir. Water is stored in the base of the planter to let your plants water themselves as needed, so you won’t have to water as often. When placing your planter outdoors, easily remove the rubber stopper from the bottom of the planter to allow your soil to drain properly. Don’t fret about watering outdoors as frequently either! When you water your plants, excess water will fill the base of the planter until it reaches the top of the overflow drainage tube. Plants will pull that extra water from below the top of the drainage tube, so the plants will stay hydrated for longer, keeping them happy and healthy. For example: When you plug the drain in your sink and turn the water on, water fills up your sink bowl and once the water hits a certain level, the excess water goes in the drainage hole – so your sink doesn’t overflow. The same concept applies here! The interior bottom of the planter will fill up with excess water, but once the level goes above the top of the drainage tube, water will flow out.
